Volunteers

Any charity or community interest company cannot exist or function without volunteers.

We encourage individuals who have come through our program to volunteer with us to gain valuable experience and hone their skills and commitment.

Commitment and reliability are massive if a person wants to be successful in their future endeavours and volunteers can also discover a sense of purpose and initiative.

Helpful reasons to volunteer include:

  • To help people in need, worthwhile causes, and the community.
  • To connect friends and connect with the community.
  • To learn new skills and advance your career.
  • To protect your mental and physical health.
  • To reduce stress and improve your self-confidence.
  • To enhance your creativity, motivation and vision.

We also encourage our clients to volunteer work in the local area. Whether that be a local business, charity shop or community enterprise. Coming out of one’s comfort zone and trying new things is paramount to a successful and stable recovery and its ongoing maintenance.

We also welcome volunteers who have no background in addiction and mental health and are just keen to learn what we are about.
