We help vulnerable people in addiction & mental health recovery through extended care non-clinical treatment and lived experience; knowing what it’s like to be in crisis, we can now help others recover.

- Peer & lived experience support groups.
- Residential abstinence-based and supported shared housing.
- Social skills workshops for everyday problem solving.
- Practical and emotional support.
- Mentoring into adult education, training, and upskilling.
- Employment support including job search, CV writing & interview skills.
- Financial/debt, benefits, and housing support.
- Healthy alternative activities including sports, cultural activities, and accessing heritage.
- Rehousing into independent sustainable living in Wakefield District.

Our Lived experience (as victims and perpetrators): alcohol & drugs, domestic/sexual abuse/violence, violence & aggression, criminal damage, burglary, high street crime, antisocial behaviour, stalking & harassment, re-offending, neighbourhood crime, mental health, speeding & dangerous driving.
We help over 270 men and their families every year and our recovery community is over 80 people. We also support over 220 young people with early intervention and diversionary activity.
We develop bespoke mental health programmes for vulnerable people in our community, providing support for those who have been unable to access mainstream services in the past. Working to avoid mental health crisis by listening, advising, and empowering people to make positive change in their lives through a person-centred approach and lived experience.
Our goal is to help as many people as possible break free from addiction & mental health difficulties and pursue the lives they were meant to live. Reconnecting with their families, emotions, and dreams and building a fruitful, prosperous future.
Our work is a direct response to known community social issues with West Yorkshire Combined Authority – Violence Reduction Partnership’s (VRP) needs assessments, Wakefield District Council and NHS Strategic/Long-term Plans, and local community/business consultation. The work we do relieves pressure off statutory services such as the health care, criminal justice, social security systems
