Our community

Our community is something unique and something special, forged over a period of more than a decade.

The Reflections ethos is that anyone who comes through our program is now a member of our recovery fraternity. The door is always open and are welcome any time to participate in groups , to help out or just to connect with people.

You will seldom see a recovery community with so many individuals displaying multiple years of sobriety, and the community just keeps on growing.

There is so much lived experience from all different backgrounds, different ages, different areas, different cultures, that all compliments the structure and program we have in place and everyone engages in all our activities as well as helping facilitate them.

Strength is found in unity, isolation is combatted by connection and we promote both in abundance.

Once people have completed the program some choose to go home to families/partners/loved ones – others choose to stay in the area and immerse themselves in our unique community. That does not mean those who choose to establish new roots in the locality become estranged from families, most still go home at weekends.

Our community numbers over 200 people, all who have been taken through the recovery program at Reflections house.

Living by the 12-step program we endeavour to practice these principles in all our affairs – especially ‘step 12’ -helping other addicts because that is what our community is all about, helping other addicts, helping each other.
