Housing

At Reflections Yorkshire CIC we provide residential accommodation and housing support to those who are engaged in our alcohol and drug addiction recovery program.

We have several abstinence-based recovery shared houses, these are what we term a bridge to normal living, the next phase in returning to a healthy existence with a certain level of autonomy. The focus is on reintegrating into society: paying bills, sorting your own benefits, buying your own food shopping, and cooking. Essentially, this is all general domestic skills pertaining to being part of the community again and live self-sustainably.

We offer a comprehensive level of ongoing support and includes the stipulations of continuing to attend our sessions, classes and program. With continued mentoring support, training and future tenancy advise, the door is never closed on a client once they have eventually moved into their own accommodation- whether that is returning to their families or starting a new life.

Craig, a former resident and now living in the local area says ” I moved into one of the satellite houses after 6 months of treatment in the main house. I felt it was the next hurdle, could I buy and cook my own food, manage my money more economically. I felt I needed to do this before I eventually got my own property, this was kind of the dress rehearsal for living on my own for the first time”
