Treatment

At Reflections Yorkshire CIC we provide extended care for alcohol & drug addiction, mental health, and associated mental health support. You will be invited to an assessment to understand your treatment needs, health conditions, and that we may need to be aware of. We are a non-clinical organisation, which means that we are not there to diagnose you. We work socially, with lived experience and community participation to achieve success for our clients.

Based on our experience, alcohol & drug addiction, along with associated mental health difficulties, are common symptoms of underlying issues that have not been dealt with leaving us feeling powerless to overcome the problems that life presents us.

After initially achieving abstinence, people in recovery need to learn to manage their addiction and the associated practical and emotional problems arise. Our solution to this is a care plan built from the following type of methods and support:

  • 1-to-1 & group practical & emotional support.
  • Abstinence-based 12-step trauma-informed alcohol & drug addiction recovery programs.
  • Integrative relational psychotherapy, and trauma informed counselling.
  • Meditation, mindfulness, and relaxation techniques.
  • Peer & lived experience support groups.
  • Psychological First Aid & Post Incident Debriefing.
  • Residential abstinence-based and supported shared housing.
  • Social skills workshops for everyday problem-solving.
    • Treatment, practical & emotional support, or psychoeducation around:
    • behaviour,
    • bereavement,
    • brain chemistry,
    • childhood script messages,
    • conduct,
    • drama triangle,
    • emotional difficulties,
    • financial problems,
    • housing issues,
    • legal issues,
    • life skills confidence,
    • suicidal ideation,
    • panic attacks,
    • social & relational difficulties,
    • self-harm,
    • transactional analysis,
    • relapse prevention,

We do not believe in a ‘one size fits all’ solution. The treatment that you access is part of an agreed Care Plan based on your needs and you will be assigned a qualified case worker (e.g., support worker or mentor) based on your needs to guide you through your care.

The Care Plans will cover a tailored mix of Treatment, Housing Support, Education & Training, Volunteering, Employment Support, Sports, and Alternative Activities, based on your needs.

Reviews of your Care Plan are conducted periodically to access your progress. Adaptions to the Care Plan are made centred around what we agree would best work for you.

If we identify, or you request, that you require specific treatment we can refer you to one of our trusted Partner organisations, or signpost you to the best support that we can.
